Celestis update

So, I was flying around in my Celestis last night, and decided to record it and make a video. So enjoy!

And the training continues

Well, quick little update. I am currently working ont he skills for medium turrents. I want to actually do more then 10 damage each time I attack something. I am getting very close to medium hybrids (last skill for it will finish in probably an hour from this blog post), but I have also been training the last few days on that. After that, I want to work on autocannons for their speed. Hopefully I will be able to be the balistics for my fleet I am in. Well..."Hopefully"

Boring day on EVE...

So, today was actually a boring day on EVE... I really didn't do anything productive. I basically just flew around, did a couple of missions, and stuff like that. I am waiting on a couple of skills before I start to go rating or try a hand in PVP. I just don't see mining as interesting personally...Although it's looking like I might start to need to move in that direction to buy some of the nicer ships. Oh well... Hopefully my boredom will quickly be replaced.

First cruiser!

So, I finally bought my first cruiser today. It wasn't the Thorax I was wanting to save up for, but I just needed SOMETHING better then the destroyer/frigates I have been flying around. I now at least feel that firepower is in my reach. I bought the Celestis, and I really like the drone capacity/powergrid capabilites...Now to try it out....Missions anyone?

And the cruiser is coming...Slowly

So, the last few days I have been working on training for a cruiser. I almost have the training part down... One more day to go. Then I just need about 5m more ISK and I'll be set! It will be nice to get out of a frigate-based ship...

Skill training...Can you say boring?

So, unlike from the other MMORPGs that I have played... I have found the EVE skill training to be quite time consuming...Literally. Unlike gaining points per fight in order to train a skill, it is a time-based skill set-up. So... It restricts what you can do. So while I might be wanting to upgrade the next ship or whatever, I am restrained by the time restrictions with the skill training. Now of course, any MMORPG has skill training, but I just need to get used to the "Eve way of doing it". Oh well... Should be able pilot those cruisers soon :-)

Week two...

So, I am a new EVE Online player... My past career of online MMORPG gaming was based in the world of Runescape. I have been into Runescape since about 4 years now. But I got to a point that I wanted to branch out... Be a "noob" again. Starting from the bottom is always hard, but after having the challenge of taking FOREVER to just raise a single skill, the bottom always is a nice place to go to.

The first time I ever played EVE, I heard about it from a couple of my friends. At the time my computer was a Dell 2400 desktop with only 512mb of RAM, and a 2.0ghz processor. So needless to say, the game, even on the lowest graphic settings, was laggy. But even still, the enormity of the game, even if laggy, was overwhelming. So after the trial ran out, I forgot about it. Who wants to play such a game on a laggy computer? Well, recently I got a new laptop (as some affectionately call it, a mobile desktop due to the size...) and it had the features for any type of gaming I wanted. So I started to get into RTS gaming and was pretty good at that for a while. But I still missed the online interactivity of MMOs. So I decided to look back into EVE. I signed up for an account, and two weeks later, it was a good choice. Yes, I am a noob. Yes, I sound stupid most of the time due to trying to understand the game, but with my old MMORPG gaming experience, it is not nearly as bad as if I started online gaming with just EVE. So, this blog will be dedicated to my experiences and stories about what happens there.
